The Foundations for Building Effective Teams

The Foundations for Building Effective Teams Online

This interactive workshop, facilitated by Dr. Lisa Williams, Associate Professor in the College of Business, will explore the foundations of team building.  What makes a team successful? Most organizations regularly use teams to achieve their objectives, but many of them do not give teams the knowledge and tools they need to achieve their potential. Great teams don’t just happen; they are the result of deliberate design, efforts, and investments made by the organization, team leaders, and team members.  Through different exercises, supervisors will explore the essential components of team building including the importance of creating an environment of mutual trust and support, while identifying team role preferences, and individual leadership style.

This training qualifies as an elective training for Module 2 of the supervisor certificate program.

You do not need to be enrolled in the supervisor training program to participate, all supervisors are welcome to attend!
