Associate Professor of Philosophy, Wayne State University

Dr. Twedt Strabbing specializes in moral philosophy, particularly agency and responsibility, moral psychology, and metaethics. Her current research is on the nature of moral responsibility, blame, and forgiveness. She also works on ethical issues in the philosophy of religion.  She holds a doctorate in philosophy from Princeton University, a certificate of advanced studies in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and sychology from the University of Oxford, and in physics and philosophy from Kenyon College. She has numerous publications in top-tier journals in her disciplines, including the Routledge Handbook of the Philosophy and Psychology of Forgiveness, Oxford Studies in Agency and Responsibility, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Philosophical Studies, and The Philosophical Quarterly, among many others. She is an internationally recognized scholar of the philosophy of forgiveness, atonement, and reconciliation.
