Incorporating Diversity into the Classroom: Using Art as a Lens for Discussing Diversity In-Person
Join faculty and Castellani Museum staff for a discussion of how to use art as a lens for discussing diversity. At the heart of this workshop is a curated set of 25 works from the CAM’s permanent art collection, carefully selected to stimulate discussions on different aspects of identity, including race, class, religion, and gender. We’ll then open it up for all participants to share ideas about how they could use these works of art to stimulate discussions within their own classrooms.
This workshop is supported by a Humanities Connection Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. It is the first of a series of workshops on incorporating diversity into the classroom to be held this year. A light lunch will be served.
